Check AvailabilityWriter Park researches various documents and records to write a novel about “The Legend of Arang.” Among them, he finds Jeong-ok nangja-jeon (Story of Jeong-ok) the most striking, and he uses it as a reference point for his novel. Meanwhile, Yeong-ju, a hairdresser, moves into Park's house one day and takes care of him. To Park, Arang and Yeongju are two different people yet also the same person. As he reconstructs Arang's story, Park increasingly thinks that Arang might be a butterfly. At the same time, he think that Arang's story can and should always be made into a story by anyone, not just himself.
