2014년에 출간된 최동호 시인의 일곱 번째 시집이다. 표제작인 <수원 남문 언덕>을 포함하여 68편의 시가 수록되어 있다. 최동호 시인의 시는 해체나 탈주를 지향하는 시들의 반대편에 서서 서정시 본연의 절제와 사유를 드러낸다. 길고 난해해지는 시 경향에 일침을 가하며 시집은 '극서정시'로서의 형식 실험을 시도하고 있다.

Published in 2014, this seventh collection by Choi Dong-ho introduces 68 of his poems, including the title poem “The Hill by the South Gate of Suwon.” The poet has been quite critical of deconstructionism or postmodernism in poetry, and has stressed the importance of lyricism and self-restraint in the poetic voice. He criticizes the trend of lengthy and abstruse poems, and experiments with “extreme lyricism” in his poems.
