Published in 2001, this children’s book by Hwang Sun-mi follows the story of the main character, Yeonsu, who moves to the countryside when her father loses his job. There she meets Changmin, who stays locked up in a world of silence with a hearing impairment because of his parents. It is a story of friendship, growing up, and learning to see the world from someone else’s eyes.
