1968년에 초판이 출간된 정연희의 장편소설이다. 2016년에 정연희소설선집(제2권)으로 재출간되었다. 1960년대 새 여성상을 제시한 연애소설로 작가의 여성관 및 세계관을 확인할 수 있는 작품이다. 작가는 작품을 발표한 1960년대 후반 여성의 연애와 사랑을 다룬 작품들은 기존의 여성상을 재현하는 경우가 많았으나 이러한 흐름을 따르지 않고 작가만의 언어로 새로운 여성상을 제시했다는 평가를 받는다.

This novel by Jung Yeonhi was first published in 1968, and it was republished as the second volume of her work in 2016. In this story of romance, the writer introduces new images of women, gender, and outlooks, unlike those of  other romance novels from the late 1960s, which simply depict female characters according to the stereotyped and gendered images of the time.
