Published in 1991, this first collection by Pak Sangwoo introduces eight of his short stories including the title story “The Snow Falling on Chagall’s Village.” This collection poignantly captures Korean society changing from a collective society to an individualistic one.

1991년 출간된 박상우의 첫 소설집이다. 표제작인 <샤갈의 마을에 내리는 눈>을 포함하여 8편의 단편소설이 수록되어 있다. 1980년대말 집단 의식에서 개인주의로 넘어가는 시대적 특징을 절묘하게 포착하고 있다고 평가된다.
