Check AvailabilityIn 1982, the Sammi Superstars, the professional baseball team with the worst records, including the lowest score in a season, the most points lost by the team, and the most home runs allowed, is on sale. After the narrator is fired during corporate restructuring from the Asian Financial Crisis, he forms a fan club of the Sammi Superstars along with Jo Seong-hun and “Zorba,” the owner of a cafe in Hongdae, and people the narrator meets in an internet cafe. Although it is a fan club formed by people with no power who have been pushed to the periphery, they are passionate about the Sammi Superstars. Until the team is sold to the Cheongbo Pintos in 1985, they continue to participate in the fan club regardless of the reality that encourages competition.
