One day, the narrator, a police officer, receives a call from a photo shop where a murder occurred, and goes to the scene. The murderer is the owner of the photo shop, and the only suspect is his wife, Ji Gyeong-hui. During the investigation, the narrator suspects the relationship between Ji Gyeong-hui and Jeong Myeong-sik, who often came to the photo studio to get his photos developed. Ji Gyeong-hui says that Jeong Myeong-sik liked her, but Jeong strongly denies it. No information is offered about Jeong Myeong-sik other than that he often visited the photo studio, and when the investigation begins, he tells lies to defend himself. Catching the culprit of the murder becomes increasingly difficult, and the narrator suspects Jeong Myeong-sik.
