1996년에 출간된 조병화 시인의 시선집이다. 1955년에 출간된 동일한 제목의 시집 <사랑이 가기 전에>에서 40여 편을 추려내 엮은 선집이다. 시집은 인간 일반의 심연에 대해서 성찰하는 한편, 사랑, 이별, 애수의 정서를 아름다운 언어로 표현한다.

Published in 1996, this collection by Cho Byeonghwa introduces 40 poems selected from his previous collection Before Love Fades Away. The poems deal with the inner abyss of humans as well as love, parting, and sorrow expressed in a beautiful poetic voice.
