1947년 출간된 김구의 자서전이다. 책은 상편과 하편으로 구성되어 있으며, 김구의 아들 김신이 편집한 것이다.  자서전은 상해와 충칭에서 대한민국 임시정부 요직을 지내면서 틈틈이 기록한 것으로 독립운동에 대한 공적인 기록과 김구의 내면이 함께 수록되어 있다. 상편은 아들들에게 쓴 편지형식으로 <기구한 어린 때>, <방랑의 길>등이 수록되어 있고, 하편은 김구가 주도한 1932년 즈음의 항일운동과 제2차 세계대전 당시 충칭에 머물면서 쓴 회고록으로 <3.1운동의 상해>, <기적 장강만리풍>등이 수록되어 있다.

Divided into two parts, this memoir written by Kim Gu and edited by his son Kim Shin was published in 1947. The memoir also includes the writings and records which Kim Gu kept as he served in the provisional Korean government in Shanghai and Chongqing. The first part of the memoir includes Kim’s writings to his sons in letter format, “My Sad Childhood” and “The Days of Wandering.” the second part was written during Kim’s days fighting for the independence of Korea in 1932 and during his stay at Chongqing during the height of the World War II. The memoir also includes his writings “The March Movement in Shanghai” and “The Miracle of the Great Yangtze River.”
