1997년에 출간된 이미애의 동화다. 작품은 주인공 '반쪽이'가 가족과 주변사람들의 멸시와 따돌림을 극복하고 행복하게 살게되는 과정을 그리고 있다. 반쪽이는 세 형의 괴롭힘 그리고 영감님집에서 아내가 될 여인을 업고 나오는 3일 동안의 어려운 상황 등을 전통적인 서사형식으로 잘 그려내었다.

Published in 1997, this is a children’s story by Lee Miae. Banjjogi is the main character who overcomes the discrimination of the people around him, as well as the bullying of his three older brothers. The three days of his life in which he rescues his bride-to-be are  told in a traditional narrative format.
