1988년에 출간된 김남조 시인의 열두 번째 시집이다. 김남조의 초기 시 작품들이 주로 생명의 존귀함과 인간적 삶을 가치를 노래했다면, 후기 시에 해당하는 <바람 세례>는 종교적인 색채가 강화되었다. 시인의 카톨릭적 사랑은 절제와 인내의 정신이 깔리게 되고, 종교적 구원의 길을 찾아나서며 자신에 대한 성찰을 시작한다.

Published in 1988, this twelfth collection of Kim Nam-jo’s poems has heavy religious undertones compared to his previously published poems in which he celebrates the value and meaning of life. The poet’s conception of love is rooted in Catholicism and encompasses self-restraint and perseverance, and his search for salvation begins from self-examination.
