Plot
After moving to Seongbuk-dong, the narrator becomes acquainted with Hwang Su-geon, an assistant newspaper deliveryman. He is an “idiot” who has intellectual disability, but the narrator enjoys having conversations with him. Hwang Su-geon’s dream is to be promoted to a deliveryman, but he is laid off from the newspaper for being a “halfwit” and even his wife runs away from home. One day, as the narrator returns home, he sees Hwang Su-geon, singing a lonely song under the moonlight.
