1974년에 출간된 시인 김수영의 시집이다. <공자의 생활난>, <달나라의 장난>, <구라중화> 등 총 65편의 시가 수록되어 있다. 시인 김수영이 죽은 뒤에 나온 시선집으로, 현실에 대한 참여의식과 저항정신을 엿볼 수 있다. 자유, 사랑, 혁명에 대한 깊이 있는 탐구와 그것을 갈망하는 설움, 비애를 시를 통해 표현한다. 한편, 그러한 자유를 불가능하게 만드는 적들에 대한 분노와 자신에 대한 탄식을 보이기도 한다.

Published in 1974, this poetry collection by Kim Soo-young includes 65 of his poems such as “Difficulties of Confucius,” “Games in the Land of the Moon,” and “A Gladiolus.” Published posthumously, the poems express the idea of political resistance and involvement. The poet explores freedom, love, and revolution in depth, as well as the sorrow and tragedy which the pursuit of those ideas entails. His poems express self-criticism as well as anger at people who stand in the way of freedom and democracy.
