This collection of Seo Jeong-ju’s poems was published in 1997, and it includes famous poems from his previously published collections such as Flower Snake, Gwichokdo, Selected Works of Seo Jeong-ju, Summary of the Silla, Winter Sky, Myth of Jilmajae, Vagabond’s Poems, Unforgettable Events, and Songs. His poetry invokes the primordial lifeforce and original sin against the backdrop of uniquely Korean folk culture. In the poems he wrote after the liberation from the Japanese occupation, he invokes Asian myths and Buddhistic beliefs. His poetic imagination and mastery of the Korean language are still praised and studied by critics.

1997년에 출간된 시인 서정주의 시선집이다. 이전에 발표된 시집 <화사집>, <귀촉도>, <서정주시선>, <신라초>, <동천>, <질마재신화>, <떠돌이의 시>, <학이 울고 간 날들의 시>, <안 잊히는 일들>, <노래>에서 주요 시들을 추려낸 선집이다. 서정주의 초기 시편들은 인간의 원초적 생명력과 원죄 의식을 노래하며 토속적인 분위기를 드러낸다. 해방 이후에는 동양적인 사상들을 드러내며 점차 불교적, 신화적인 색채를 나타내기 시작한다. 그의 시는 탁월한 상상력과 언어적 감수성을 기반으로 토착적인 언어를 세련되게 다듬는다는 점에서 높은 평가를 받는다.
