2008년에 출간된 시인 정현종의 아홉 번째 시집이다. 표제작인 <광휘의 속삭임>을 비롯하여 60편의 시가 수록되어 있다. 정현종의 시들은 삶 자체의 근원을 탐구하려는 의욕과 찬탄으로 가득하다. 이번 시집에서는 외부에서부터 사물의 의미를 규정하는 해석적 권위를 버리고, 자신의 몸 전체를 텅 비워버림으로써 그 사물 자체가 되고자 하는 시들이 실려있다. '파동, 물결, 날빛'과 같은 어휘들은 의식 너머의 무한과 사물과의 우주적 교감에 대한 열망을 드러낸다.

Published in 2008, this is the ninth collection of Chong Hyon-jong’s poems. The book includes 60 poems with the poet’s overflowing desire to explore the source of life and his awe for it. With a disregard for interpretative and external authorities which impose definitions on the things around us, the poet becomes the objects in the poems themselves by emptying his physical self. Using images such as waves, frequency, and the light of life, the poems reveal the poet’s desire for universal communication with infinity, and with objects beyond one’s consciousness.
