“저는 ‘인생파’(人生派)입니다. 머리를 굴려서 쓰는 게 아니라 (가슴을 가리키며)여기서 이야기를 퍼냅니다. 그래서 저는 정치적 알레고리가 있는 소설을 별로 좋아하지 않습니다.” 22일 오후 7시30분 (현지시각) 독일 베를린 시청. 소설가 황석영씨는 200여 명의 청중을 사로잡았다. 소설 ‘오래된 정원’과 ‘한씨 연대기’가 최근 독일어로 출간된 것을 맞아 베를린시가 그를 초청해 열린 낭독회였다.
