This is an introductory booklet on novelist Kim Un-su, produced for literary events at the Tokyo International Book Fair. On June 30, Kim Un-su gave a lecture at Gakushuin University, where he talked about his literary world and fiction as well the role of literature in seeking one’s ego and identity. On July 2, at Junkudo Bookstore, Kim Un-su, together with the Japanese translator and editor of The Plotters, engaged in conversation with readers about issues arising during the translation process, as well as the charms and complications of Korean literature in translation. On July 4, Kim shared a conversation with Japanese writer Kei Nakazawa at Hosei University about several literary works from Korea and Japan, and examined the relationship between literature and society. This 15-page booklet consists of “About the Author” and “About the Work” and includes an excerpt The Plotters.
