Hyun Hojeong was born in 1993 in Gyeonggi Province as the eldest daughter. After studying Korean literature and anthropology at university, she debuted as a novelist in 2021 when her novel The Struggle of a Short-Lived Girl won the inaugural Park Ji-ri Literary Award. In 2022, she dramatized and starred in the play ‘It’s Far, Uru Is Going to Be Late.’ (original novel written by Bae Suah)

1993년 경기도에서 맏딸로 태어났다. 국어국문학과 인류학을 공부했다. 2021년 『단명소녀 투쟁기』로 제1회 박지리 문학상을 받으며 등단했다. 2022년 연극 ‘멀리 있다 우루는 늦을 것이다’(원작 배수아)에 각색과 출연으로 참여했다.
