The issue also includes an interview with the Featured Writer Ra Heeduk, as well as the English translations of her poems and an essay on her works. The Bookmark section features English translations of Kim Seong Joong’s “Martian Child,” Jeong Ji A’s “The Enemy of Capitalism,” and four poems by the poets Lee Young-ju and Kim Un. This is the full text of the English translation of “The Enemy of Capitalism” by Jeong Ji A, along with the accompanying illustration, published in the Bookmark section of KLN Vol. 60. The first-person protagonist feels ambivalent as she observes the life of Hyeonnam, who lacks proactive desires to do or want something. But eventually, she comes to the realization that in the capitalist society where desires are endlessly affirmed, someone like Hyeonnam may be the true enemy of capitalism.

They consist of interviews with 15 Korean novelists and poets who are responding to the demand in overseas literary markets—novelists Kim Dong Sic, Kim Heesun, Jang Ryujin, Jeon Sungtae, Jung Jidon, Jung Ji A, Cheon Un-yeong, and Choi Eunyoung; and poets Kim So Yeon, Moon Dong-man, Park Sangsoon, Park Joon, Park Cheol, Baek Eunsun, and Lee Seong-bok.
