The first-person protagonist feels ambivalent as she observes the life of Hyeonnam, who lacks proactive desires to do or want something. But eventually, she comes to the realization that in the capitalist society where desires are endlessly affirmed, someone like Hyeonnam may be the true enemy of capitalism.
