This anthology introduces a selection of 70 poems from Jung Hee Sung’s poetry collections Dapcheong (답청 Treading on grass in spring, 1974), Jeomun gange sabeul sitgo (저문 강에 삽을 씻고 Rinsing the shovel in the twilight river, 1978), Han geuriumi dareun geuriumege (한 그리움이 다른 그리움에게 One longing to another, 1991), Sireul chajaseo (詩를 찾아서 In search of poetry, 2001), and Doradabomyeon mundeuk (돌아다보면 문득 What hits you when you look back, 2008). It includes “The Poet’s Notes” in Sireul chajaseo and Doradabomyeon mundeuk as “essays,” as well as explanatory notes by the translator.

이 책은 정희성의 시집 『踏靑』(1974), 『저문 강에 삽을 씻고』(1978), 『한 그리움이 다른 그리움에게』(1991), 『詩를 찾아서』(2001), 『돌아다보면 문득』(2008) 등에서 총 70편의 시를 선별하여 소개하고 있는 선집이다. 정희성의 『詩를 찾아서』와 『돌아다보면 문득』에 실린 시인의 말을 '에세이'로 소개하고 있고, 역자 해설도 포함되어 있다.
