2020 Taipei International Book Exhibition: Author Choi Eunyoung Introductory Booklet

This is an introductory booklet on novelist Choi Eunyoung, produced for the Taipei International Book Exhibition Korea Guest of Honor Program. Choi Eunyoung was one of the five Korean writers who participated in the Guest of Honor Program. She was selected as a delegate for the purpose of publishing and promoting her work in Taiwan. The Korea Guest of Honor Program was co-organized by the Literature Translation of Korea, the Korean Publishers Association, and Taipei Book Fair Foundation. This 20-page booklet consists of: “About the Author”, “Essay”, “Excerpts”, and “Bibliography”. The booklet was put together by the LTI Korea, while the Korean Publishers Association was in charge of translation. The excerpts are taken from Harmless Person and Shoko’s Smile—published in Taiwan in 2019 and 2018 respectively.

The 8 videos are divided into 5 novel readings and 3 poetry readings. From Korea, Jaesik Kwak, Kim Kichang, Kim Soom, Kim Yeonsu, Kim Jung Mi, Yun Ko-eun, Lee Miye, Yi Hyunseok, Lee hee young, Ch’oe Yun, Choi Jin-Young, Han Kang, Koh Jaejong, Sin Yongmok, An Hee-Yeon, Yu Gyeyoung, Lee Soyoun took part with their international counterparts, including Ge Shuiping, David Grossman, Mariana Enriquez, Maja Lunde, Max Porter, Matt Ruff, Vanessa Springora, Siri Ranva Hjelm Jacobsen, Evgeny Vodolazkin, Ken Liu, Trent Dalton, Nouri Al-Jarrah, Rim Battal, Seán Hewitt, Amanda Chong, Jan Wagner.
