1973년에 발표한 오태석의 희곡이다. 같은 해 서울드라마센터에서 초연되었다. 작품은 남해안의 섬에 남아있는 가매장(假埋葬) 습속(習俗)인 '초분(草墳)'이라는 장례의식과 당시 큰 이슈가 되었던 선장살인사건을 다루었다.

This play by Oh Taeseok was published in 1973, premiering that year at the Drama Center in Seoul. It deals with chobun, an island funeral custom where the body is given temporary burial, and the 1996 Pescar Mar case, which shocked Korean society at the time.
