    This is an introductory booklet on Song Sokze, produced for the 2005 Frankfurt Book Fair, where Korea participated as the Guest of Honor for the first time and hosted the Korean Literature Tour Program. The author was one of the 62 delegates selected by LTI Korea’s Delegation Selection Committee on the basis of the following criteria: representativeness, existing publications of translated works, and overseas marketability. The entire literature program was co-organized by the LTI Korea, the Frankfurt Book Fair Organizing Committee, Daesan Cultural Foundation, Paradise Cultural Foundation and the International Communication Foundation (ICF). The events started at the Leipzig Book Fair in March and finished with the Guest of Honor Program in October. Song Sokze participated literary events in May and in the main program in October. This 25-page booklet consists of: ‘Author’s Literary World’, ‘Analysis of The Last 4.5 Seconds of My Life’, ‘Excerpt’, ‘Voices of the Author and Critics’, ‘Biography’ and ‘Bibliography’. The material was put together and analyzed by Lee Su-hyeong, and translated by Elke Golchert-Jung. The photographs were taken by Han Young-hee. Song Sokze participated in literary events in Hamburg (May), the Frankfurt Book Fair Korean Pavilion and Bensberg (October). Some of his short stories including ‘The Last 4.5 Seconds of My Life’ were published in German in 2009.

    This is an introductory booklet on author Song Sokze, produced for the 2016 Frankfurt Book Fair. On Oct 21 in Weltempfang Hall, Song Sokze and German author Juan Guse shared a conversation on the theme of “Life Is Ridiculous” and discussed their writings and perspectives with regards to Song’s novel The Amusing Life. On Oct 24, Song participated in a literary event at Literaturwerkstatt in Berlin, where he gave a reading and engaged in a discussion. This 6-page booklet consists of: “To the Author”, “A Riverside Village”, and “Reading Samples”. The excerpt is taken from The Amusing Life.

    This is the audio file of the fourth session of “One on One,” the main event of the Seoul International Writers’ Festival 2019. The session was held at Crea, on the second floor of the DDP Design Lab, on October 12, 2019. The session was conducted as a conversation between one Korean writer and one foreign writer, and it was attended by an audience of 100 people. Participating Korean and foreign writers held a discussion under the theme of “The Strength of the Petit Bourgeois.”

    The theme of _List Vol. 13 is “Risk Society and the Artistic Imagination.” This issue introduces six books and three films under the four subthemes—overview, intellectual response to risk (sociology), literary imagination about risk (literature), and risk and popular culture (films). In addition, this issue features interviews with novelists Kim Joo-young and Song Sokze, Korean publishing trends, coverage of the acceptance of Korean literature overseas, author’s notes by novelist Jung Young Moon, a spotlight on a literary site, book reviews of fiction/nonfiction/children’s literature, and an excerpt from Kim Won Il’s The House with the Sunken Courtyard and introduces steady sellers, publishers, and trends in Korean literature to overseas readers.
