Plot

This novel tells the story of a woman’s turbulent life in Korea under the Japanese rule, when she was taken to serve the Japanese military as a “comfort woman.”

This is a novel by Yun Jeong-Mo in Yeoseong jungang in 1982. It is significant that this novel gives voice to the victims of Japanese military’s sexual slavery from during the Japanese colonial era before the comfort women issue became a widespread knowledge.

1982년 <여성중앙>에 윤정모의 장편소설이다. 일제 강점기 시대, 위안부 문제가 본격적으로 알려지기 전, 소설을 통해 피해자의 목소리를 드러내고 있다는 점에서 중요한 의미를 갖는다.
