2016년에 출간된 정이현의 소설집이다. <아무것도 아닌 것>, <우리 안의 천사>, <서립 속의 집> 등 모두 7편의 단편이 수록되어 있다. 감각적이고 경쾌한 문장으로 왜곡된 여성의 삶에 대해서 문제를 제기해왔던 작가는 이번 소설집에서는 남녀의 구분을 넘어서서 현재에 고통받는 사람들을 기록하고 있다. 위선적인 사람들과 친절한 얼굴로 폭력을 행사하는 사람들 그리고 아무렇지 않게 무너지고 절망하는 사람들의 죽음과 고통을 그려내었다.

Published in 2016, this collection introduces seven stories by Jeong Yi Hyun including “It’s Nothing,” “The Angel Inside Us,” and “The House in a Drawer.” In language that is carefree and sensitive, Jeong questions the distorted views and representations of women, and in this collection, she writes about people who are subject to pain regardless of the gender division. She writes about hypocrites, the people who commit violence in cold blood, and their victims whose lives are destroyed.
