Plot

Despite being poor. Bang-won and his wife lead a happy life. However, when their landlord Shin Chi-gyu seduces Bang-won’s wife, who is exhausted from poverty, she betrays him. In anger, Bang-won kills his wife and then himself.

This is a short story by Na Do-hyang, published in Joseon Mundan in September 1925. Through its plot, in which a poor peasant loses his wife to his landlord, the story poses questions about the love of people in poverty.

1925년9월<조선문단>에 발표한 나도향의 단편이다. 가난한 소작농이 지주로부터 아내까지 빼앗기는 상황을 통해 가난한 자들의 사랑에 대해서 질문을 던지고 있다.
