1943년 시나리오로 발표한 오영진의 작품이다. 2년 뒤인 1945년에 2막 5장의 희곡으로 수정하여 발표했고, <시집가는 날>이라는 제목으로 1957년에 영화로 만들어졌다. 작품은 전통적인 가문의식의 허실, 구습결혼제도의 모순, 계층사회를 해학과 웃음으로 비판하고 있다.

This play by Oh Yeongjin was first written as a screenplay in 1943. A revision in two acts and fives scenes was released as a play two years later, and a film adaptation under the title of The Wedding Day was released in 1956.   With a sense of humor and satire, the play criticizes selfishness and hypocrisy, old and outdated customs, and the class differences.
