1981년 출간된 신상웅의 소설집이다. 2012년 '바이링궐에디션(제9권)'으로 출간되었다. 표제작은 중동에 일하러 간 친구가 죽음으로 돌아온 사건을 통해 노동자의 희생으로 이루어진 급속한 산업화와 도시화 그리고 황폐해진 1970년대 한국사회를 비판적으로 그리고 있다.

Published in 1982, this is a collection of stories by Shin Sang-ung, and a bilingual edition was later published in 2012. In the main story, “Our Friend’s Homecoming,” a group of friends receive the news of a friend who died while working in the Middle East, and the writer critically portrays the sacrifices forced upon workers and Korean society in the 1970s, which are marred by the problems of rapid industrialization and urbanization.
