Park Hwa-seong (1904~1988) was a South Korean novelist. She began her literary career in 1925 by publishing “Chuseokjeonhu” (추석전후 Before and After Chuseok) in Joseon Literature. Based on her feminine style and delicate observation, Park critically captured contemporary issues in her works. In particular, she identified the class problem and the conflict between the poor and the rich as structural problems, and made efforts to elucidate them in her works. She was awarded the National Academy of Arts Award and the Order of Cultural Merit.

박화성(1904~1988)은 한국의 소설가다. 1925년 <조선문단>에 단편<추석전후>를 발표하며 작품활동을 시작했다. 작가는 여성적인 문체와 섬세한 관찰로 당대의 문제를 비판적으로 작품에 담아내었다. 특히 작가는 계급문제, 가난한 자와 부유한 자의 갈등 등을 구조적인 문제로 파악하고 이를 규명하기 위한 노력을 소설에서 지속적으로 수행했다. 예술원장, 문화훈장을 받았다. 


朴花城(1904-1988),韩国小说家。1925年在《朝鲜文坛》发表短篇小说《秋夕前夜》(《추석전야》 ),从此开始创作活动。其作品通过女性的笔触和细腻的观察对当时的社会问题作了批判。作家尤为重视把握阶级和贫富矛盾等结构性问题,通过小说对此进行了持续的探讨。曾担任艺术院长,获得过文化勋章。
