This is an excerpt from a short story by Kim Soom, the Featured Writer of KLN Vol. 55. An excerpt from her short story “The Man Who Touches Waves,” published in Hyundae Munhak January 2022 issue has been translated into English for overseas readers. Based on a conversation with a teacher who became blind, this story presents a literary experience in which the readers can relate to the lives of those who were excluded from mainstream history

KLN 55호의 특집작가 김숨의 작품 발췌다. <현대문학> 2022년 1월호에 게재된 단편소설『파도를 만지는 남자』의 일부분을 발췌 및 번역하여 해외독자에게 소개한다. 후천성 전맹인으로서 살아가는 한 교사와의 대화를 기반으로 쓰여진 본 소설을 통해 역사에서 배제되었던 이들의 삶을 공감할 수 있는 문학적 경험을 제공한다.
