Hwang Yeo Jung (1974-) is a South Korean novelist. She made her literary debut in 2017 when her novel Algeriui yuryeongdeul (알제리의 유령들 Ghosts of Algeria) won the 23rd Munhakdongne Literature Award for Fiction. She writes about the people who have been pushed out of reality and people who are enduring the tragedy of having to struggle for survival. In particular, she does not stop at simply revealing the tragedy and narrates what happens “after the tragedy.”

황여정(1974~)은 한국의 소설가다. 2017년 장편<알제리의 유령들>이 제23회<문학동네>소설상에 당선되어 작품활동을 시작했다. 작가는 현실에서 밀려난 사람들과 생존을 위해 싸우는 비극을 감당하고 있는 사람들을 작품의 주제로 삼아 소설로 풀어내고 있다.  특히 작가는 비극을 드러내는 것에 그치지 않고 '비극 이후'에 대한 서술도 멈추지 않고 있다. 

黄汝贞（1974-），韩国小说家。2017年长篇作品《阿尔及利亚的幽灵》（《알제리의 유령들》）获第23届《文学村》小说奖后，开始投身创作活动。其小说以现实中的边缘化群体和忍痛为生存而挣扎的群体为主题，不仅再现了悲剧，而且还展现了悲剧的后继发展。
