Plot
The first-person narrator heads to the pharmacy to get medicine for his sick wife, but he is rejected because he has no money. When he returns home, he finds out that his mother—who went to beg a Chinese family for rice—was bitten by the Chinese family’s dog and seriously injured. The protagonist becomes heartbroken and dizzy.
