The main character, Mireoksoe, marries Napsun, the woman he loves. However, Napsun and Jongsu were in love with each other first, and Napsun was forced to marry Mireoksoe. Unable to endure her life with Mireoksoe, Napsun ends up hanging herself.

This is a short story published in the 28th issue of Yeoseong (Women) in July 1938. 
It depicts human love and hate in lyrical sentences. In particular, the tragic ending of the story is delivered more effectively in harmony with the tale of “The Cuckoo” that cried “ssookook.”

1938년 7월 ≪여성 女性≫ 28호에 발표된 단편소설이다. 이 작품은 인간의 애증을 서정적인 문장으로 묘사하고 있다. 특히 '쑥국새' 설화와 어우러져 사건의 비극적 결말이 더욱 효과적으로 전달된다.
