This collection of six linked short stories by Park Bum Shin was published in 2004. The featured stories are “Shooting Star,” “Empty Room,” “Jar, It’s a Jar,” “It’s Okay, It’s Really Okay,” “When Potato Blossoms,” and “White Keys and Black Keys.” In this collection, which deals with existential questions of contemporary life, the author describes the current times as an “age of infertility,” referring to the metaphorical castration of creative vitality and comparing individuals’ meaningless lives to empty rooms.
