2015년에 출간된 <황석영의 한국 명단편101>(제9권)에 수록된 전성태의 단편소설이다. 작품은 자신만의 이야기를 구하러 숲을 떠도는 화자를 주인공으로 삼아 저마다의 삶에 따른 이야기의 존재 의미를 다루고 있다.

“The Forest of Being” is a short story by Jeon Sungtae that was included in the ninth volume of Hwang Sok-yong's Famous Korean Short Stories 101, published in 2015. Assigning as its protagonist a narrator who roams the forest in search of his own tale, the story engages with the meaning of a story’s existence according to the life of every individual.
