1984년 출간된 고은의 시집이다. 시집은 모두 90여편의 시를 6부로 나누어 수록했다. 민주화 운동을 거치면서 자유를 역사와 시대의 과제로 요구하던 시인의 목소리가 내면을 대상으로 서정적으로 변화하게 된 지점을 보여준다. 투쟁의 언어가 사라지고 내밀한 자기지향적 언어가 두드러진 시집이다.

Published in 1984, Homeland Stars is a collection of over 90 poems by Ko Un. Divided into six parts, the poems show how Ko Un’s poetics has shifted over the years as a result of democratization in Korea, from making demands for freedom out of a duty to history, to a more lyrical, inward-facing gaze. This collection of poems is particularly remarkable for its intimate interiority, which replaces the language of struggle.
