Plot

Lee Jeok-yo is a poet respected by other writers. He falls in love with Han Eun-gyo, who visits his house by chance one day. Jeok-yo's love for Eun-gyo puts a great pressure both physically and mentally. However, Eun-gyo and Jeok-yo do not deny their love. Meanwhile, Seo Ji-u, a novelist who is a student of Jeok-yo, enters the relationship between Jeok-yo and Eun-gyo, and the three people engage in passionate love.

This is a novel by Park Bum Shin, published in 2010. It was adapted into a film in 2012. The work deals with the love between an old poet and a high school girl, and the relationship between the old poet and his student. The author questions the boundaries between human impulses, desires, and love, and wonders how one can discern these boundaries. The love and hatred the old poet has for his novelist student, a novelist, raises questions about what art is, and the records left by the old poet can be seen as self-denial.

2010년에 출간된 박범신의 장편소설이다. 2012년에 영화로 만들어지기도 했다. 작품은 늙은 시인과 여고생의 사랑, 그리고 늙은 시인과 그의 제자의 관계를 다루었다. 작가는 인간의 충동과 욕망, 사랑의 경계가 무엇인지, 그것을 어떻게 분별할 수 있는지 묻고 있다. 또한 늙은 시인이 소설가인 제자에 대해 가진 애증은 예술이란 무엇인가라는 화두를 던진 것이며, 늙은 시인이 남긴 기록은 일종의 자기부정이라고 할 수 있다.
