2003년에 첫 출간된 최승호 시인의 열한 번째 시집이다. 2018년 문학과지성사에서 개정판으로 새롭게 출간하였다. 2003년 제3회 미당문학상을 수상한 시 <텔레비전>을 포함하여 57편의 시가 수록되어 있다. 내가 대상을 바라볼 때, 인간이 아닌 존재들(피사체) 역시 나를 바라볼 수 있음을, 그리하여 서로가 시선을 주고받는 주체가 될 수 있음을 이야기한다.

Published in 2003, this is the eleventh collection of poems by Choi Seung-ho. This collection was republished by Moonji Publishing Company in 2018. The collection introduces 57 of Choi’s poems including “Television,” for which he received the third Midang Literary Award in 2003. In this collection of poems, Choi suggests the possibility of our gaze being met by the gaze of the very object—the very target of our gaze—and he questions the very idea of subject and subjectivity in this exchange of the gaze.
