Plot

A boy’s father is serving a fifteen-year sentence for manslaughter, and the boy’s mother left him when he was only four years old. The boy grows up at an orphanage and finds out later why his father was sent to jail.

1984년 11월 <현대문학>에 발표된 윤정모의 단편소설이다. 2014년 바이링귈시리즈로 출간되었다. 산업화 시대의 모순 속에서 붕괴되어버리는 가족의 모습을 다루고 있다.

This short story by Yun Jeong-mo was published in the literary magazine Modern Literature in the November 1984 issue and was republished as a single, bilingual edition in 2014. The story is about the breakdown of families in a society going through rapid changes and industrialization.
