1986년에 출간된 윤대성의<윤대성대표희곡선집>에 수록된 작품이다. 1982년에 드라마로 만들어졌다. 작품은 1967년 부산에서 발생한 실제사건을 토대로 만들어졌다. 작가는 집단적인 광기가 현실을 위협하고 왜곡하고 있음을 보여준다. 작가는 살인범의 누명을 쓰고 감옥에서 지내다가 무죄로 석방되는 과정을 통해 억울함을 호소할 수 없어서 얻게 된 상처로 점점 미쳐가는 주인공을 통해 광인(狂人)을 만들어내는 사회를 고발하고 있다.

This play is included in the collection of Youn Daisung’s plays published in 1986. Based on a real case which took place in Busan in 1967, the play shows how collective madness can distort facts and threaten the innocent. The main character is driven mad when he is falsely accused of a murder despite his innocence, and the play focuses on how an individual slowly loses his sanity because of society and the justice system.
