Plot

Around 1937, platoon leader Lee Du-seong fights against the Japanese punitive forces in the area around Mt. Baekdu. Injured during the battle, Lee Doo-seong uses a scarf sent as a gift by General Kim Il-sung to survive the winter and endure a surprise attack by the Japanese army.

Consisting of four acts and six scenes, this play was performed by the North Korean National Theater Company in 1959. It depicts the will of the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters who do not succumb to adversity. It was also adapted into a film and received favorable reviews.

1959년 북한국립연극단에서 상연된 연극으로 4막6장으로 구성되어 있다. 역경에도 굴복하지 않는 항일혁명투사의 투쟁의지를 그린 것으로 영화로도 만들어져 호평을 받았다.
