Plot

The narrator moves to Seoul with her mother. Her older brother is labeled a leftist and taken during the Korean War, and I also undergo hardship. Having been unable to flee Seoul during the Third Battle of Seoul (1951), the narrator and her family remain in empty Seoul, feeling afraid and anxious.
