Park Sangseek received a doctorate in political science from Massachusetts State University, and then served as a diplomat. After his retirement, he published various political books and academic papers. His short story collection Nunmurui gangsan (눈물의 강산 Land of Tears) is an autobiographical record of the mental and physical anguish that he experienced from the time of liberation in 1945 to the end of the Korean War in 1953.

박상식은 미국 마사추세츠 주립대학에서 정치학 박사 학위를 받은 후 외교관으로서 근무하였다. 은퇴 후에는 다양한 정치 저서 및 학술 논문을 발표하였다. 단편소설집 《눈물의 강산》은 1945년 해방부터 1953년 한국전쟁이 끝날 때까지 작가가 경험했던 정신적, 육체적 고통을 자전적으로 기록한 소설집이다.


朴尚植，在美国马萨诸塞州立大学取得政治学博士学位后，开始从事外交工作。退休后出版了各种政治著作和学术论文。短篇小说集《泪洒江山》(《눈물의 강산》)以自传体小说的形式记录了作家从1945年解放到1953年朝鲜战争结束时所经历的精神和肉体的痛苦。        小说集《泪洒江山》（《눈물의 강산》，2014）
