This collection features 47 legends curated by Park Yeong-jun, including “Goesanghan buchae” (괴상한 부채 A strange fan), and “Dangun sinhwa” (단군신화 The Dangun myth). The supplementary book contains seven historical tales (yadam) from Im Pang’s Cheonyerok (천예록 Records of the edge of heaven), including “Gyeodeurangie sseogeun gogireul kkigo jeolgaereul jikida” (겨드랑이에 썩은 고기를 끼고 절개를 지키다 Defending her fidelity with rotting meat under her arm).

「괴상한 부채」 등 박영준이 엮은 전설 47편과 「단군신화」가 본문에 수록되어 있으며, 부록에는 「겨드랑이에 썩은 고기를 끼고 절개를 지키다」 등 임방의 『천예록』에 실린 야담 7편이 실려 있다.
