朝鮮を代表するモダニズム文学者、李箱(イ・サン)。1930年代の植民地朝鮮・京城で活躍し、26歳の若さで帝都・東京で夭折した。現代韓国において最も愛されている作家の一人であるが、一方で「難解」「天才」「異常」とも評され、いまだにその作品は多くの謎に包まれている。本書は、その代表作をはじめ、これまで注目されてこなかった作品を掘り起こし、日本語で書かれた詩は当時の資料から収録した。李箱のほぼすべての短篇小説・随筆・日本語詩を網羅した、日本における初めての作品集である。
