Kim Taiyoung is a South Korean novelist. He began his literary career in 1974 when his short story “Sannori” (산놀이 A Mountain Excursion) won the Hanguk Munhak  New Writer’s Award. Based on his long career as a journalist, he has steadily published works that center on historical awareness and the future of the Korean Peninsula and the people of Korea, such as the Inmingun (인민군The North Korean People’s Army) trilogy and Soseol handangogi (소설 한단고기 Handan Gogi, a Novel) (2003). He is the recipient of the 1982 Samsung Literary Art Award. l  Novel Hunpung (훈풍 A Balmy Wind) (1982) l  Novel Jungnipjidae (중립지대 The Neutral Zone) (1985)

김태영은 한국의 소설가다. 1974년 단편<산놀이>로 <한국문학>신인상을 받으며 작품활동을 시작했다. 작가는 <인민군>3부작 시리즈와 <소설 한단고기>(2003)등 오래 기자생활의 경험을 바탕으로 역사의식을 중심으로 한반도와 민족의 미래를 주제로 한 작품들을 지속적으로 발표해오고 있다. 1982년 삼성문예상을 수상햇다.
