This is a collection of representative poems by Moon Chung-hee (b. 1947). It contains 68 of her most prominent works from her 12 poetry collections, spanning her debut collection Munjeonghui sijip (문정희시집 Poems by Moon Chung-hee, Wolganmunhaksa, 1973) to Eung (응 Yeah, Minumsa, 2014). The book also includes Moon’s essay, titled “Meori gamneun yeoja” (머리 감는 여자 The woman washing her hair), in her essay collection Munhagui dokkiro nae salmeul kkaewora (문학의 도끼로 내 삶을 깨워라 Awaken my life with the ax of literature), at the end. The book opens with “Siinui mal” (시인의 말(詩人の言葉) The Poet’s Words), which expands on the author’s preface in her poetry collection Ora, geojit sarangi (오라, 거짓 사랑아 Come, false love).
