LTI Korea participated at the 2015 Guadalajara International Book Fair in Mexico from November 30 to December 4 with poet Shin dalja and writer Gu Byeong-mo.

The fair was held from November 28 to December 6 at the Expo Guadalajara. The UK was the Guest of Honor this year. 1,983 publishing firms participated in the fair, which had around 792,000 visitors from 44 countries.

On December 2, LTI Korea held a Meet the Author event for the Spanish translation of Shin’s Papel at the Mariano Azuela Hall. Mexican poet and head of Filodecaballo Publishing León Plascencia Ñol moderated the event. Argentinian writer and critic Marina Porcelli presented her critique of Shin’s book.

On December 3, a promotional event was held for Gu Byeong-mo’s Wizard Bakery, moderated by Mauricio Volpi, the head of Nostra Publishers. Galaxia Poucel, popular Mexican YouTube content creator and book reviewer, presented her critique of the book. The YA book has sold a record 10,000 copies since its launch. More than 60 people attended the event. Gu also took part in as many as 16 press interviews with dailies of the Jalisco area and with several literary journals.

On November 30, a special lecture event, attended by around 120 students, was held at the Adalberto Navarro Sánchez auditorium of Universidad de Guadalajara in which Prof. María Lourdes Hernández and Dr. Sergio Figueroa Buenrostro talked about Papel and Wizard Bakery.

Nearly 100 students from high school sin the Guadalajara region attended the “Ecos de la FIL” Korean literature lecture from December 1–2. On December 3, LTI Korea gifted around 30 translated titles of Korean literature to the Korean Cultural Center in Mexico. On December 4, LTI Korea held an event for the students of the Korean Studies Department at Universidad Autónoma de Nayarit. Departing from the usual book review contest format, this time LTI Korea held a Parody Poetry Contest based on Shin’s Papel and a Bread Baking Recipe Contest based on Gu’s Wizard Bakery.
