We travel the world in fiction with Ann Morgan, and hear from the South Korean novelist Han Kang and the South African writer SJ Naudé   How much of the world's fiction can readers explore in English? Shamefully little, according to Ann Morgan, whose latest project took her on a reading trip around the globe. According to Morgan, a substantial number of the world's 196 independent nations can't even claim a single novel available in English translation. She joins us to talk about the challenges and delights of literary travel.We also hear from one of the authors she found along the way, the South Korean writer Han Kang, whose tragic novel, The Vegetarian, was described in the Guardian as "a bracing, visceral, system-shocking addition to the Anglophone reader's diet". Finally we travel to South Africa to talk to SJ Naudé, who translated his haunting collection of short stories from Afrikaans into English himself.
