朝鮮王朝の宮廷実録小説3部作の本邦初訳。17世紀から18世紀にかけての朝鮮王朝内部の苛烈な党争の歴史的事件の渦中にあって、その事件を生身で体験した宮廷の女性たちによって赤裸々に描かれた“恨”の世界。

This book presents edited translations of representative court literature from the Joseon Dynasty, including “Gyechuk ilgi” (계축일기 Diary of the year Gyechuk), “Inhyeon wanghu jeon” (인현왕후전 Tales of Queen Inhyeon), and “Hanjungnok” (한중록 The Memoirs of Lady Hyegyong). The explanatory notes by the translator include explanations on the historical background of each work.

조선시대 대표적인 궁중 문학 「계축일기」, 「인현왕후전」, 「한중록」을 편역한 책. 역자에 의한 해설에는 각 작품의 역사적 배경 설명이 포함되고 있다.
